Why We Built This Site
Mississippi gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. In Yazoo County the Circuit Clerk keeps felony, Circuit Court, and County Court case files, along with marriage licenses and jury records. The Chancery Clerk handles land records, estates, probate, guardianships, and divorce files from Chancery Court. The Sheriff manages the county jail and active warrants. Add the Mississippi Electronic Courts system, the Mississippi State Department of Health, and the Department of Public Safety, and the picture gets crowded fast.
